    Q1: How do I choose a cage for my bird?

    A: While it is always better to have an “as large as possible” cage for your bird, you will need to look at the bar spacing for the bird type you have. The bar spacing can be smaller than required but not larger, since too large of the bar spacing may not only allow the birds to escape, it can also cause injury to the them. We have attached a chart underneath for reference:

    *Dove and Pigeons: Doves need daily flight time so should either be kept in a flight cage or given daily flight time outside of the cage. With time outside of the cage for exercise, diamond doves can be kept in a cage 24"x24"x24" with bar spacing of no more than 1/2" and ringneck doves in a slightly larger cage (for example, 24"x36"x24"). Pigeons are most often kept in outdoor flights but if kept indoors need a large cage and daily flight time as well.

     

    Q2: What is the warranty on your cages?

    A: All our cages carry a 3 year warranty against defects, including the wheels, hinges, and locks (where appliable).

     

    Q3: How long does it take to ship my order?

    A: Our processing time normally takes 1 business day and you should receive the tracking number within 2 business days. If you do not receive any email or call from us after 2 business days, please contact us by email or by phone.

     

    Q4: What shipping method do you use and how long does it take to deliver my order?

    A: We use Purolator or UPS to ship your order and it normally takes 2-5 business days to deliver, and you may always contact us or go the courier’s website (www.ups.com or www.purolator.com) to check the status of your order with the tracking number you received from our email.

     

    Q5: Does the shipping cost I paid include insurance?

    A: Yes, all the orders are 100% insured, including lost or damage. If your order is lost while it was being shipped, or you receive a damaged cage, please feel free to contact us by phone or email, we will contact the courier company to file a claim.

     

    Q6: What is your return policy?

    A: Buyers are allowed to return the product within 5 days after the date of receipt, provided it has NOT been used (due to sanitary reason) and with all the original packaging. Buyers must pay for return shipping. All returns are subject to 25% restocking charge and shipping cost is not refundable.

     

    Q7: How do I know that the cage I am buying has the quality I am looking for? 

    A: Our products are supplied by Elite-Pets.com and they have earned a very distinctive product reputation in the Canadian market since 1999. We check every order before we ship to our customer to ensure the product is in excellent condition before it leaves our warehouse. We also consistently inspect the quality of the products when they arrive to us from our supplier. We have a track record of less than 0.2% quality complaint percentage which is very low compare to other top bird cage suppliers. However, we will cover all the restocking cost, return and reshipping cost if we sent you the wrong product.

     

    Q8: What kind of protection do I have as a buyer? 

    A: Customer information protection: Our website has SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) checkout system, which ensures that the information you input when check out is fully encrypted during transmission to our sales department. This strong encryption is as secure as any banking website in the world.

    Purchase protection: We only accept payment methods of major credit cards and Paypal and each of these reputable companies offers buyer protection. If there is any issue you cannot resolve with us, your credit card company will act as a mediator to help resolve the problem. However, our excellent customer service track record has no issue in the past that we could not resolve with the customer.

     

    Q9: What is your privacy policy? 

    A: We do not disclose any customer information including name, address, phone number, email address, order details and credit card information to any third party. Your personal or business information is fully confidential.
